Happy Chuseok, all the children looked amazing in their hanboks today as we spent the afternoon celebrating the Chuseok holiday. There is no school next week and I hope that everyone has an enjoyable week off.
In maths, this week, we moved on to shapes, the children looked at the properties of 2D and 3D shapes, drew 2D and made 3D shapes using nets.
We have come to the end of our fiction unit and the children spent most of the week planning, writing and editing their suspense stories. I have been very impressed with their creative writing have they have done their best to include a variety of literary devices.
During our IPC lessons, the children started a project around Ancient Egyptian Daily Life, they researched various aspects of how they lived and are adding information and pictures to a large poster. We also looked at hieroglyphics, how this worked and made their own messages.
That’s all for this week, see you after Chuseok break.
