Art – Year 789: Sewing a lucky bag

Year 789 has learned sewing: the basics of hand sewing – tools needed, threading the needle, knotting the thread, running, satin, cross and overcasting stitches, and finishing with knots. They have made own lucky bag by designing own favourite pattern, cutting thin fabrics, decorating a letter, and sewing two pieces together. A few students have spent much time at home to complete their project.     Well done.  20160205_131957-1 More…

Art Y3/4 – Korean Traditional Mask

Year 3 and 4 students’ project was making a Korean Traditional Mask. From designing own mask with the mood they want to express, making a papier mache, base coating, shaping, and finally painting as planned, it was all a lengthy process and they know how to make a mask from scratch without any help.   We are proud!

In music, students often present their piano skills to the class, which they feel proud and we learn how to be a charming audience.
