Reading

We are sure the student will enjoy the books they were given at the assembly today. Students should be ready to discuss their books with their teacher and classmates when they return to school after the holiday.

School Resumption

Students will return to school on April 16th.

After School Activities

Clubs and Activities will begin immediately when we return in April.  Be sure to sign up using the link today!!!  Math Puzzles and Investigations  is only for students from Year 3-6.

Term 3 School Planner

Air Quality Index

You may be aware that the Korean Ministry of Education has recently changed the scale used to determine the air quality in Korea.  An average reading of PM 2.5 was 16-50 and 51-100 was considered bad.  Now, an average reading would be from 16-35 and a bad reading would be from 36-75. 

We will use the old scale.  You do have the option to have your child kept indoors for breaks under the new guidelines as we will have break indoors and outdoors.  If you want your child kept inside under the new guidelines, please see the link.  This survey should be completed by April 6th.

Seoul Trip Meeting

There will be a trip for parents of students attending the upcoming Seoul trip on Monday, March 26th.  For your convenience, there will be two meetings.  One at 3:35 pm and one at 7:00 pm. Please attend the meeting which is convenient for you and your schedule.

 
Year 1-2 Trip
 
The year 1 and 2 students will be going to Ulsan History Museum and Grand Park on Tuesday, March 27th.  They will depart at 9:10 am and return to school at 2:30 pm.

Parent/Teacher Conferences
 
Will take place on Wednesday, March 28th from 9:00 am-5:30 pm.  There will be no school for students on that day.  Please sign up on the sheet outside the office or call the school office at 052-250-2851 to make your appointment.
  
 
Final Assembly
 
Term 2 Final Assembly will take place on Friday March 30th at 11:00 am.  Weather permitting, the assembly will take place outside at the front of the school.  All parents are welcome!  You don’t want to miss this!

Just a short note……..

Dance Party

We had a fantastic Dance Party on Friday.  Fun was had by all.  We want to thank the PTA, teachers and students who all worked together to make this happen.

We raised 298,650 Won for the Swami School in India to buy new software for their computers in their new and improved library.  Well done, everyone!

Parent Teacher Conferences

Our Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place on Wednesday, March 28th from 9:00-5:30. The sheet for sign-up is now up outside the office.  Please be sure to sign up early.

Seoul Trip

Please pay deposit in the office by Thursday, March 29th.

Invoices have been sent home for Term 3. If you have not received this invoice and are returning for Term 3, please contact the school office.

Spring has Sprung!

Students have been taking advantage of the beautiful weather and having some classes outside. Looks like fun!

Seoul Trip

This is a friendly reminder for Year 5-9 parents interested to pay the deposit required for the Seoul trip by Thursday, March 22nd.

Year 1-2 Trip

The Year 1-2 trip was postponed to Tuesday, March 27th because of rain.

Dance Party

Parent Meeting

There will be an information meeting on Monday at 7pm in Mr. Munden’s class for the Year 5-9 trip to Seoul.  This meeting will be led by the students.

Dance Party

There will be a Dance Party on Friday, March 16th from 3:30-5:30pm in the Hall.  Students should buy tickets before Friday for 1,000WON.  Students should have about 4,000WON at the dance for popcorn, a drink and raffle ticket.

Dear Parents,

Please take note of the following:

Parent Meeting

There will be a meeting of all year 5-9 parents on Monday, March 12th at 7pm, to discuss the upcoming class trip to Seoul.  The students will make the presentation and answer your questions.  Of course, Mr. Munden and I will be present, as well.  Our target is to have every student in year 5-9 attend the trip.

School Dance Party

There will be a school Dance Party on March 16th from 3:30-5:30pm.  Tickets will go on sale tomorrow.  The entrance fee is 1,000WON.  Student Council members will sell tickets each day this week before break.  Students need to bring 1,000WON to school and wait for a Student Council member to come to their class to sell tickets.

All proceeds will go to the purchasing of new computer software for the Swami School in India.

Be sure to check the class pages on the website!  The teachers are doing a great job keeping you informed in this way.  If you like what the teacher and students have done with the class page, tell them!

Wednesday

There will be no library or Outdoor Games this Wednesday after school.  This is only a one week cancellation.  Outdoor Games and Library will continue, as usual, next Wednesday.

PTA International Food Share

What a tremendous success our PTA Food Share was!  We want to thank the PTA and all the parents for the hard work that went into this event.  Please see the attached pictures…

Caffeine Drinks

It has come to our attention that some students are bring caffeine drinks to school. These drinks will be sent home if seen at school.  Juice only please!

World Maths Day

Our school is taking part in World Maths Day which takes place on the 7th of March. Four million students from 200 countries and territories will register for the event in 2018. This is an exciting online challenge open to all schools that utilize Mathletics. Students will be going up against students from all around the world.

Students will answer maths questions, which will earn them UNICEF points. These will be converted into money to directly support education programs where resources are desperately needed.

Your child has been registered for this event through the school and can start Warming Up.  Students should log in into their existing Mathletics account and enter Live Mathletics. A new World Icon is available to prepare for next Wednesday.

Dance Party

There will be a school Dance Party on March 16th, 3:30-5:30 in the Hall.  Money will be raised to help purchase computer educational software for the Swami School in India.
