Term 3 Week 1 Update

Hello everyone!

Term 3 has started, which is always a busy term with lots of extra things going on. Next week is assessment week, students will have exams on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. They are a great way to see how each child is getting on and how we can help them. In week 3, we have the residential trip; everyone has signed up, and it will be great fun. There are going to be more school events coming up, so keep checking the newsletter for information.

This week in English, we started off with a game to practice different English skills. The students had to complete some questions around the school to help them crack the code. Also, we did a practice test to help the students prepare for next week before starting a new unit on biographies.

In IPC, we started a new unit called Existing, Endangered, Extinct. As an entry point for the unit, we went on a nature walk; we used an app called Seek to scan plants and animals so we could find out the species. We then completed a Knowledge Harvest to see what students know about plants and animals.

That’s all for this week, have a great weekend.
