Happy Lunar New Year

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our families a healthy and happy holiday and a peaceful and prosperous New Year. Please enjoy the Hanbok and national dress pictures at the bottom of this post.

This week’s newsletter contains lots of information about registering for clubs and booking appointments for Parent-teacher Conferences. The Admin Office will be open from Thursday and we will make sure all arrangements are made before we return from the Lunar New Year Holiday. I will post another newsletter next Friday to update you on everything.

Mid-Year Reports

On Friday you should have received your child’s Mid-Year Progress Report. As always, we believe the best way for you to accurately understand the progress your child is making is by meeting and talking to your child’s teachers. Parent-Teacher Meetings are scheduled for Week 4 and teachers are always happy to meet and discuss the learning happening at school.

Parent-Teacher Meetings

We would like to meet as many parents as possible for Parent-Teacher Meeting in Week 4 (week beginning Monday 7th February). All teachers will be available for meetings on Thursday 10th February from 3.45 pm – 5 pm and at other times if that is not convenient.

To book an appointment…

  • Ms McClellan – by emailing Ms McClellan directly | mariemcclellan@hyundaiforeignschool.com
  • Mr Dunn – by using this form
  • Mrs Sim – by using this form
  • Mr de Klerk – by emailing Mr de Klerk directly | andredeklerk@hyundaiforeignschool.com

The Admin Office can also help with booking appointments.

Clubs

Clubs will start in Week 4, straight after the Lunar New Year Holiday and run until the end of term.

Please use this form to see what clubs are available and to register.

Please think carefully before signing up for clubs. Our teachers take the time to prepare interesting activities and deserve to receive students who are interested and really want to be there.

Sports Club with Jouini

This club will run on Mondays and initially be available to students in Mrs Sim and Mr Dunn’s classes. The cost will be around 35,000won. We still have some details to confirm with Jouini and we will post a sign-up sheet and further details soon.

I know some students will be disappointed by not being able to join this club at the moment but we will try to find a way to offer more sessions in the near future. There is a possibility of running a session with Jouini starting at 4.30 pm on Mondays, but this would mean students waiting an hour after school and we wouldn’t be able to offer a third bus. If there is enough interest shown in a 4.30 pm session we will organize it.
