The Y5-6 students learned about the Collagraph printing process and were given the opportunity to create their own printing plates using various materials such as cardboard, string, and foam. They were able to experiment with different textures and shapes to create unique designs that could be used for printing.
After creating their printing plates, the children used them to make multiple prints on paper. They then completed their prints with paints, adding color and texture to their artwork.
I was impressed by the enthusiasm and creativity that Y5-6 students demonstrated during the lesson. They showed a great deal of imagination and artistic talent, and I am confident that they gained valuable skills and experiences that they can use in the future.
