HFS Newsletter – Term 1 – Week 14

Posted in - Latest News

Winter Show

The show will feature the following:

  • A performance by the Drama Club
  • Performances by each class
  • Performances by talented groups and individuals
  • Lots of singing
  • A special visitor

Further details will be in the Newsletter on Friday.

Staying in at Break

At HFS we believe that students benefit from going outside for break and lunchtime and that as long as they have appropriate clothing they won’t be cold. School policy also states that if the temperature is below -2°C alternative arrangements will be made, especially for younger students.

We ask that parents inform us in advance, by email or phone, if a student needs to stay inside during break or lunchtime for medical reasons. To ensure that teachers have time to prepare for the next lesson, students who stay inside will be asked to sit in the Admin Office.

Candy Donations

The PTA would like some donations of candy or chocolates to make gift bags for the students to receive at the Winter Show.

Donations can be sent to the Admin Office.

Clubs in the last week of the term

Clubs will happen in Week 15 but only Sports Club on Monday will happen in the last week of term.

The bus will follow the ‘No Club’ schedule from Tuesday of the last week of term.

Last Day of Term

Please be aware that the last day of term, Friday 16th December is a full day. There will be lots of fun and class parties going on but school finishes at the normal time of 3.30 pm.

Name Change Survey

Thank you to everyone who took the time to share their opinions about a possible change of name for the school. We value your opinions.

To clarify a few questions that came from the survey.

  • Any name change will not affect the relationship between HHI and the school. We would still enjoy the support of HHI in the future
  • Any change of name will not affect the legal status of the school. We will still only be permitted to enrol students holding foreign passports or Korean passport holders who have lived abroad for over 3 years
  • The main motivation for a name change would be to raise the profile of the school with a name that more accurately reflects who we are

Here is a look at the answers we received.

You can still do the survey if you wish.
