Mother’s Morning

This Wednesday (18th November), 10:30am to 12:00noon, the EYC is hosting our annual ‘Mother’s Morning’ for our Mums to come and join in with our special learning activities. All F1 and F2 Mums are invited into their child’s classroom for a 10:30am start.

EYC’s Winter Show – Wednesday 9th December

On Friday 13th November we sent a note home in your child’s book bag with information on the costume that your child will need for the Winter show and the words to the song they will be singing on stage. Please check your child’s bag or book bag and if this piece of paper did not make it home, please speak to your child’s teacher to request another copy.
Both on Monday 7th and Wednesday 9th December, children will need to attend the Main School from 9:00am, not the EYC. Further details will follow about where to meet the teachers and the plan for these days. Parents are not needed at school on Monday. Monday is our practice on the stage in the school hall in preparation for Wednesday’s show. Please send your child’s costume to school by Wednesday 2nd December in a clearly named bag. We ask for all items to be named.

Refreshments – After the show

Parents can volunteer to provide baked goodies to be enjoyed by our audience after the Christmas Show in the main school canteen. Please speak with your Room Parent if you would like to help. We have children with food allergies and restrictions – all items of food brought to the event must not contain traces of nuts, fish or shellfish. Please label all food with the ingredients contained within the food brought to share.

Term 1 Progress Reports and EYC’s next Shared Learning

Our next Shared Learning is scheduled for Friday 11th December, when your child’s Term 1 progress reports will be sent home along with their Term 1 end assessments.
• F1 Shared Learning will be held at 11:40am
• F2 Shared Learning will be held at 2:50pm

Leaving HFS and Learning Journals

The electronic Learning Journals on Tapestry can be exported and downloaded to allow children to keep their Learning Journals forever, when they leave the EYC. Once the Learning Journals have been exported, the child’s online account is deleted. The document is exported as a PDF and can be printed by parents if chosen. The document is an extremely large document and requires a USB memory stick / flash drive for us to pass the document to parents electronically.
We ask for parents who have informed us that your child is leaving HFS, to supply a USB memory stick / flash drive the week before your child’s final day of attendance for you to receive your child’s Learning Journal. Please add your CHILD’S NAME to the USB memory stick / flash drive cover.
