Term 3 Week 7 Update

Wow, what a fantastic way to end this week with our Sports Day. I was super impressed with every child’s sporting behaviour, attitude, teamwork and athletic ability. All the games were good fun; I know I had a lot of fun today, and I hope everyone else did too! Thank you to all the staff for helping to organise it and to parents for coming out and supporting the school today.

The rest of the week, we worked hard in all our lessons while finding time to celebrate all our hard work and achievements for the year with our ABC countdown.

In English, we continued our work around the graphic novel ‘When Stars are Scattered’.We used this to help us revise the writing of dialogue with correct punctuation. The students created a script to show how characters speak shows their personalities.

During our IPC lessons, the students carried on their work around extreme habitats. They made a large poster to show the habitat and the animals that live there and created a presentation to share next week with the class.

This week in Math, we learned about coordinates and translations. First, we practised placing coordinates on a set of axis, and then we looked at what the new coordinates will be once an object has been moved.

That’s all for this week enjoy the long weekend.
