Hello everyone!
Another busy week in Mr. Dunn and Mr. Morgan’s class with lots of fun learning and exploring doing on.
In English, this week we continued our nonfiction workaround Hawkboy, we looked at different conjunctions and using brackets in our writing. The students had great fun creating their own superheroes, they made a mask and choose their own powers and weaknesses, ready to write about next week.
For IPC, Mr. Morgan put together a wonderful lesson exploring Ancient Egyptian mummification the students looked at the process as well as mummifying a tomato. This week they have also looked journey to the afterlife and finished off research on different Pharaohs.
In maths, we have continued our work on calculation, looking at subtraction and multi-step addition and subtraction word problems. Next week, we will be moving on to solving multiplication problems.
