Sports Day

Sports Day last Friday was a great success, with everyone having a great time out in the sun. I was very impressed with the sportsmanship and teamwork on display and by how everyone worked together to make the day enjoyable.

Congratulations to the winning teams and all the winners in the class events.

We particularly enjoyed the giant Teacher vs Students Dodgeball game!

Goodbye to Logan and Caroline

Sadly, Logan and Caroline are leaving us this week to return to America. We wish you all the best in your new school and hope you will remember your time in Korea fondly.

HFS in 2021/21

We are have been receiving some enquiries about what HFS will be like next year. While some details are yet to be confirmed I can tell you that:-

  • The current teaching staff have all signed new contracts and will be returning next year
  • Mrs Sim will be joining the teaching staff. Mrs Sim has been doing her teacher training practice at HFS for the past year in Year 4/5. We have been so impressed with her teaching talent, dedication to her work and enthusiasm that we would like her to join us full time. The students already know and love Mrs Sim and she will make an excellent addition to our team.
  • The number of students at the beginning of the next academic year is expected to be similar to now. We will be losing some students who are returning home but we already have a number of new students who are expected to join us.
  • We are expecting the number of students to rise from around Christmas as new projects enter the shipyard. Obviously, these numbers are very hard to predict.
  • Exact teacher allocations and class splits will be confirmed before the end of the term

If you would like to discuss any issues relating to next year myself and Mr Kim are always available for meetings which can be arranged through the school office.
