Welcome to Year 8 and 9!

Hello, my name is Corleen Gallinger. I am Canadian and joined HFS in 2010. I have experience in teaching a range of age groups from Kindergarten to Secondary school students. I studied literature at university, but have continued with my studies while teaching and gained a Masters in International Relations in 2006.

I have taught Kindergarten, Grade 5 (Yr 6), Grade 6 (Yr 7) Yr 1 Computers, yr 2 Computers and Science, Yr 5 Science, and been a thesis advisor for 18 year old High school graduating candidates .  I first came to Korea in 2001 to work in a Korean middle school where I taught English language acquisition classes to 12-14 year olds until 2005.

I enjoy traveling and living ‘overseas’.  I believe that we're never too old to learn new things and that is why I have continued with my own studies. I am looking forward to this year and working with the Upper School Students putting my degree in literature to good use.
