Age Ranges and Classes
Class Sizes
We strive to limit class sizes to a maximum of 20 children per class. It is therefore imperative that you contact the school well in advance of your planned arrival date to obtain up-to-date information regarding the availability of places. Placement of students
The class a student is assigned to is determined by their age on the 1st September of the current academic year. The school believes that we can best meet the educational goals set out in our school philosophy by placing students with children of their own age. Exceptions to this rule are very rarely, if ever, made.
The table below explains which year group children will be placed in and what stage of education according to the English system this represents. The equivalent grade in the American system is also given.
