History
Hyundai Foreign School was established by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co Ltd. (HHI) in September 1982, to provide primary education for the children of HHI’s clients and other expatriate children connected directly with Hyundai.
Over the years the school has expanded and now allows ‘Non-Hyundai’ students to attend the school.
In 2004 HHI took control of the attached kindergarten, which was previously parent and volunteer run, and it officially became part of Hyundai Foreign School. The kindergarten has subsequently moved to a larger facility a short distance from the main school site.
During the academic year 2005-6 the numbers of children attending HFS continued to rise. In May 2006 building work was started to construct an additional building to expand our facilities and to allow us to cope with the rising numbers.
At the beginning of the academic year 2006-7 HFS expanded into the middle school age group.
