Term 3 Week 4 update

Hello everyone! Firstly, I would like to thank you all for taking the time to fill in the residential permission form and for paying the rest of the fee, it is greatly appreciated. The residential trip is less than two weeks away so we will be sending out packing list to you next week to make sure you have enough time to get everything ready. Secondly, I hope everyone enjoyed the Spring Festival at the weekend it sounded like it was a great success.

In class for Geography, we have continued our work around tectonic plates and have taken a closer look at volcanoes, tsunamis, and earthquakes. Each student chose ones of these to look at and had to conduct research into a particular significant disaster and create a presentation that could then go up on display. 20190516_151754

In Science, we looked at biomass energy and trophic levels, the students then started to create a trophic level pyramid to represent their learning.

In History, we reviewed the causes of the first world war and discussed which was the most important cause. The students had to sort causes under each heading and discuss how it led to the war.

That’s all for this week, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
