Hello everyone! Another action-packed and busy week for London class as week two comes to an end. Another reminder from myself to sign the permission form for the residential trip, which can also be found on the class page on the class information section.
For PE this term we have started by doing some rugby with the main focus being passing backward, which is an integral part of rugby. I have seen some huge improvements in this area, which now needs to be applied to game situations.
For Geography, we started our work around natural disasters by first looking at plate tectonics. The students used atlases to mark and label major earthquakes and volcanoes on their own map using the appropriate symbols, they also had to mark the plate boundaries and label these.
We ended the week with a trip to the HHI Arts Centre to see an exhibition on children’s book illustrators this was an interesting experience with some wonderful artwork on display.
That’s all for this week, I hope everyone has an enjoyable long weekend and see you all on Tuesday!
