Hello everyone! An eventful week, which ends with sadness as two students from London class leave us to go to new schools. They have both been a joy to teach this year and will be missed by all at HFS, I wish them all the best at their new schools and with whatever they do in the future.
Much of this week was dedicated towards our International Week Projects. The class have spent a lot of time and effort in the weeks leading up to this and have produced some excellent presentations which were shown on Thursday. The International Day was a major success with fantastic foods and amazing presentations by every group. I was particularly impressed with the Year 7,8,9 class as they lead their groups and contributed a lot to the projects in every aspect.
In English, the children have started a travel writing project and will hopefully finish these next week. They had to chose a type of travel writing: guide, blog or book, they then chose a destination to research a produce a piece of written work.
In maths, this week we have been working on area and perimeter of shapes and using formulas to work these out.
That’s all for this week, I hope everyone has a great long weekend!
