The students have just finished their GL Assessments. They have worked very hard on these tests and they will provide me with plenty of extra useful information when planning our units of work. The students have settled well in the new school year and are already developing some good teamwork skills.
This month the students had a lovely time at the Ulju Mountain Film Festival.
They have made a good start on our IMYC unit “Celebration”. Watch this page for examples of the students work as they get further into the unit. The students have also started to develop their thinking skills and problem solving in a dedicated session on Friday. It is fair to say that they found completing Sudoku problems a challenge but they have much more enthusiasm for chess.
We will be continuing to run these thinking skills and problem solving sessions throughout the year as the skills they learn in these sessions will help them with their maths work and their IMYC work. Finally, this week has been all about celebrating Chuseok and the students have been treated to some very informative cultural performances.
I wish you all a restful and enjoyable Chuseok break.
