A very hectic week for the HFS community as CIS visited our school, viewed teaching and learning, and meet with staff, students, and parents. I hope the students enjoyed their extra day off.
In maths, this week, we moved to area and perimeter. The students found the area and perimeter of different objects in the classroom as well as parts of the school.
In Science, the students created their own onion slides to observe under a microscope then draw a diagram of what they could see. The students now understand the different parts of plant and animal cells and will be making a model with labels to show the different parts.
In History we continued to explore the England in the Middle Ages, we looked at the Battle of Stamford Bridge and the Battle of Hastings and how these lead to William the Conqueror taking control of England.
That’s all for this week, have a great weekend everyone.
