FS1-2 friends have been learning about the weather.

We talked about which weather types we know. We found and tried on some clothes and which weather matches them. We also sang a song “rain, rain, go away”. FS1-2 friends sang along so nicely.

We created a beautiful cloud, sun, raindrop and rainbow.

It was fun to create rain drops with pompoms and scratched out rainbows.

After that we painted winter trees to make a snowy day.

We’ve been sharing our feelings and emotions from looking at pictures of the portraits of Dora Marr and the Weeping Woman which is by Picasso last week.

We talked about what colour Picasso used that time and sketched two different emotions on their faces.

Then we had another activity which was listening to music, exploring our emotions.

Listening to music, we explored drawing dots, different types of lines, and shapes with paints as Russian artist Kandinsky did.

It was very fun that we expressed our feelings with painting while listening to the music.

This week we started to learn a new unit, Treasure Islands.

We talked about who pirates were and what they did.

We drew a pirate on our pictures.

We tried to make pirate hats and added scars, eye patches, parrots, and swords which show the symbols of pirates well.

Y3-4 students have learned about the artist, Picasso.

We reviewed how his art style changed from Picasso’s early life until he died like “the blue period”, “the rose period”, and “cubism’.

They remembered so well and answered what we learned.

We created our Picasso’s cubism style portrait.

We drew some lines, crossed them and divided the shapes and added eyes, nose, mouth and hair. It shows well what is the style of cubism!

Y5-6 students completed beautiful Roman style necklaces with playdough.

This week we started to learned about ‘Pixel art’

We found what the meaning of Pixel art is.

I gave them the Emoticon character ‘Ryan’ to draw him in a Pixel at style.

Kids loved this time a lot.

We really enjoyed doing Pixel art.

Y7-9 students did Paper Mache on our sculpture using glue this week.

Next week, we will paint them so they will finally be completed.
