FS 1-2 Art – Term 2 Week 6

This week the children studied giraffes.

After learning about where giraffes live, what they eat, and their appearance, we tried to capture the characteristics of giraffes and express them in pictures.

There are so many cool giraffes here!

Y 1-2 Art – Term 2 Week 6

Students used white clay to design the house they want to live in.
As we learned last week, we created windows, doors, bells, walls, roofs, chimneys, and stairs while thinking about the structure of the house.
A colorful and very pretty house was created.

Y 3-5 Art – Term 2 Week 6

This week the Y3-5 students finished drawing the planets they started last week. Some children used thin paper to express the planet’s surface, some completed it using various materials they wanted to use, such as colored pencils, crayons, and marker pens.

Then children made a title and a poster with the characteristics of each planet.

Everyone worked so hard, and I think this lesson showed very good teamwork.

Well done, everybody!

Y 6-9 Art – Term 2 Week 6

This week Y6-9 students started to create a stop motion animation of a new object.

This time, the students made a stop motion video using images drawn by the students themselves.

The theme is eating watermelon.

First, students drew the shape of the mouth that changes when eating watermelon, hand gestures, and the shape of the watermelon being cut.

Since clean lines and vivid colors are necessary to express the image well in the video, the students colored the sketches using marker pens.

Next time we’ll finish the rest of the drawing and start shooting stop motion.

I am very much looking forward to the new stop motion project!

FS 1-2 Art – Term 2 Week 5

FS1-2 friends sang a song “head to toe” using a book by Eric Carle.

We learned the characters of animals and followed the animals’ motion

After that we observed how a monkey’s body looks and what colour it is and expressed it with drawing.

Now our monkeys are back in our jungle.

Look here how the monkey is playing in the jungle!!

Y 1-2 Art – Term 2 Week 5

Y1-2 students have completed their beautiful houses.

We can see the structure of the house where we drew chimneys, walls, windows, doors, a doorbell and stairs.

Y1-2 students’ houses are so beautiful and peaceful.

May I visit your beautiful house, guys? 😊

Y 3-5 Art – Term 2 Week 5

Y3-5 students shared our knowledge of our planet that we learned about in IPC.

And they got the picture and information I prepared and looked at them for specific characters they have. We have a pair of friends and each group chose a planet we would love to create.

Each group of kids showed their ideas to each other with their planet.

Also, this time they used a variety of materials.

Y 6-9 Art – Term 2 Week 5

Y6-9 students learned about some editing tools what we can use.

We downloaded the apps, and started editing.

We tried to add a script, title, background music and effects.

Also, we took another shot at making a longer video clip.

The editing hasn’t been finished yet so it’s homework.

I am looking forward to seeing the final editing at our next art lesson.

FS 1-2 Art – Term 2 Week 4

FS1-2 friends created a big zebra this week!!

We learned about where zebras live, what they eat, and how they look.

Our friends answered well that the zebras have black and white stripes.

We drew our own zebra on the white board, and drew the pattern with an ink on the piece of white paper. After we drew the pattern we put it all together then it completed a big zebra.

We ripped up green papers for background grass.

Y 1-2 Art – Term 2 Week 4

Y1-2 children learned about the structure of a house.

We talked about what kind of house we live in now what kind of house we would love to live in.

Also, we talked about what we need for building a house.

Basically, we found what we need to have a wall, a roof, a chimney, rooms(windows), doors and stairs through the picture.

Then we practiced to draw on the white board and copied it on the paper.

Our Y1-2 children’s houses are so creative and some have many rooms and I could visit them for staying. 😊

Well done, everyone! We are going to colour what we drew and build another house with different materials next week.
