F2/Y1 Art – Term 3 Week 8

This week the F2-Y1 students created ladybugs.

Using the shape of a circle and oval they made a ladybug’s body.

We added on dots, head and antennas.

Also, we designed a variety of leaves for our ladybugs.

Y 2-3 Art – Term 3 Week 8

The Y2-Y3 students completed a masterpiece of Chagall.

This week we used a different art technique of art which is collage.

We had a look how the artists make collage art with pictures.

We picked one of Chagall’s templates and added on magazine, newspaper and tin foil.

Y 4-5 Art – Term 3 Week 8

The Y4-Y5 applied paint over our masking liquid drawings.

We discovered how water colour paints are effected by the masking liquid.

The next project is making aboriginal musical instruments in 2D shapes.

Y 6-9 Art – Term 3 Week 8

The Y6-Y9 students applied paint over our masking liquid drawings.

We discovered how water colour paints are effected by the masking liquid.

Y 2-3 Art – Term 3 Week 7

The Y2-Y3 students learned about the famous artist Marc Chagall.

This week we learned how to sketch with charcoal and coloured with pencil. It was very interesting activity.

Y 4-5 Art – Term 3 Week 7

This week, the Y4-Y5 students investigated how to use a masking liquid to create musical instruments. Using these materials was very fun although the masking liquid was a bit smelly. We will apply paint over our drawing next week. Then next project will be creating aboriginal musical instruments.

Y 2-3 Art – Term 3 Week 6

Y2-3 Students investigated a masking liquid on water colour paper. Using these materials children could discover how water colour paints applied and effected with the masking liquid. We had fun effects with this activity and created beautiful buildings in the night view.
