We have been learning about the art of Claude Monet art since the HFS students visited the gallery in Hyundai Art Center.

The F1-F2 students expressed Monet’s ‘garden bridge’ in Giverny with their painting.

Everybody worked very hard.

We have been learning about the art of Claude Monet art since the HFS students visited the gallery in Hyundai Art Center.

The Y1-Y2 students recreated Monet’s ‘garden bridge’ in Giverny with pastel and oil pastel.

They also expressed ‘Monet’s sunset’ with their painting.

Everybody worked very hard with their creative ideas.

Well done, guys!!

In Y3-Y4,  the students created and completed water colour paintings that they started last week.

This week, they started their acrylic painting copying an artist by Monet.

You can see their beautiful art work on display after the holidays.

Last Friday all the HFS students visited the Hyundai Arts center to see an exhibition of Monet’s work.

Students have learned about Monet’s life and his art.

There was a guide who explained the details of Monet’ s art while they looked at his painting.

So the students could understand how each painting was created.

It was nice gathering all of the HFS students together to experience the work of a great artist Monet.

We have learned the 4 seasons by looking at how trees are different in each season.

After that they drew Autumn trees using the colours red, yellow, brown and orange to show Autumn colours.

They sketched with a pencil and coloured using water colour paints.

Their beautiful Autumn trees are showing that Autumn has arrived.
