Sports Day

HFS Sports Day will be held on Friday 26th May (Week 7) at school (Hanmaeum Centre).

Parents are welcome to attend and there will be a picnic lunch (bring your own)

Lunch Boxes

Last Wednesday we invited two companies interested in supplying lunch boxes for students for a tasting session at school. Thank you to all the parents who came to try some food and share their opinions. We were generally happy with the quality of the food and excited about the possibility of offering this service.

The next step is to try to find out if enough families are interested in lunch boxes to make it a viable project. We are asking you to consider the information below and then share your opinions and level of interest through this survey.

Some details

  • Lunch box service will start in September
  • The lunch box supplier is certified to supply to HHI
  • Sign-up and payment would be by term with no refunds or cancellations for missed days
  • The suppliers are willing to take menu suggestions from parents and students
  • Lunch boxes will cost 6,500won per day
  • Company A (from the tasting day) was selected on the basis of the opinions of the tasters

Mr. Green is away next week

Mr. Green will be away from school all of next week (Week 6). He will be visiting the International School of Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia as part of a CIS Visiting Team. These visits are a great opportunity to meet educators from around the world and see how some other schools work. There are always great ideas that we can use here at HFS.

Mr de Klerk is leaving

Mr. de Klerk will be leaving HFS at the end of the school year to take up an exciting job opportunity in New Zealand. We wish him and his family all the best.

We are currently advertising for a new teacher and will make an appointment in early June.

Survey for Returning Students

Thank you to everyone who has completed the returning Survey for Returning Students. We have had about 50% of the students respond.

To help us in planning for next year we would like to survey families to see who will be returning next year. Please take a moment to complete this survey.

Thank you!
