Term 2 is just three weeks old and school is buzzing with activity. This week I have really enjoyed seeing all the kids enjoying after school activities. It was great to see students from different classes all working together and having fun. Well done everyone!

Congratulations to Ms Jiyu and her husband on the arrival of a healthy baby boy on Thursday.

Uniforms and Sports Wear
It was lovely to see all the students in their uniforms for class photographs on Thursday. Although we have not been strictly enforcing our uniform policy, it is nice to see the students in their school colours sometimes. On special occasions and school trips, we would be asking all students to wear uniform.
It is important that the students are dressed appropriately for P.E lessons.
Please think about:-
- Sport shoes
- Not wearing jeans
- Students with long hair being able to tie their hair up
- Being warm enough for P.E outside or in the gym
After School Activities
We have had a great first week of after school activities with lots of kids busy doing lots of different things.
Changes to Soccer Club
Because we have so many students of different ages wanting to play soccer on Monday’s with Mr. de Klerk, we have decided to split the club into two different sessions.
Monday after school will focus on younger students and basic skills. Everyone is still welcome to attend but the focus will be on the younger students. Older students may be asked to do some coaching.
The older students in soccer club will have the opportunity to go to the school sports field on Tuesday lunchtime, without the younger students around, to play a bigger game together. The younger students and non-soccer club members will be going to the gym.
We think this will let everyone have more fun at soccer club.
Art at HFS
