On Monday December 3rd HFS will open its classroom to the public. Anyone who would like to attend and participate in the event should register with the admin office. Please feel free to spread the word, invite friends for a showcase of the teaching and learning taking place at HFS. Parents of potential new students can attend a presentation and tour from 9:30 am. If you would like to skip that part feel free to join from 10:30 to be a part of the classroom experience. Please contact the school administration for more information. I look forward to seeing you there.

Children’s Day

Tuesday 20th November was Universal Children’s Day. Established by the United Nations in 1954 the purpose of the day is to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improve children’s welfare. HFS commemorated the day with a number of class activities to draw attention to the fact that children are afforded certain universal rights that should be acknowledged. The students had an informative time being made aware of this day that celebrates them and wonderful projects were made for our display board. Please take the time to view it when next you are at the school.

HFS Winter Show

The much anticipated annual HFS Winter Show will be taking place on Monday 10th December at 6:00 pm. Please keep the date open and join us for a fun evening of music, drama and delight. All the students school will be taking part in the production. The students will be rehearsing their roles and songs for the show, please encourage them to practice at home, singing in the shower or while doing chores. There will be warm refreshments and snacks on sale at the event and I hope to see you there.

That is all for this week. Thank you for your continued support and do stay warm in this chilly, windy weather.
Best regards,
Scott Kearney
