Posted in - Newsletter

Dear Parents,

We had an exciting week at school where students were engaged in a variety of exciting activities.  It is an absolute pleasure to see their smiling faces come into school each morning so keen to learn and make a positive contribution to our community.

Track and Field Carnival in Busan (Y4-9)

The Year 4-9 students will be participating in an inter-school track and field event organized by the South Korean Activities Conference. Several other international schools will be present.

In preparation for the event, we will be taking a school bus up to the Seobu Spanish Soccer Grounds (5 minutes from the school) on Friday May 25th and Friday June 1st at 9 am to train. After each 1 hour session, we will walk back to school which will take approximately 15 minutes.

The Track and Field Carnival will be held on Tuesday, June 5th at Sajik Stadium in Busan. We will take a bus from HFS at 7:45 am. We will depart from Busan at 3pm and return around 4:30 pm

Please click here to fill out the online form to give permission for your child to attend the training sessions and the Track and Field Carnival.

Note that all students are to sign up for the trip.  Our goal is to have 100% participation!

Glasses During Sport Activities

Students may not wear glasses during sporting activities at school.  Sport goggles are widely available in Ulsan for students who need them.  This policy is non-negotiable.  We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

No School

There will be no school on Monday or Tuesday.  Enjoy the long weekend.  Please ensure that your child spends some time over the long weekend reading a good book!  Better yet, read with them!

International Day Assembly

The International Day assembly will be cancelled.  We will place the assembly in the schedule for the next academic year.

Summer Weather

As summer approaches, so does the hot weather.  Please ensure that your child has a water bottle and a hat as all activities will continue as normal in the warm weeks ahead.

Have a wonderful long weekend.  See you Wednesday!

Best Wishes,

Peter McLeod
