Dear members of the HFS community.

We have been monitoring the developments of the coronavirus outbreak and in the interest of health and well- being of the school community we are taking the following measures:

  • Anyone who has travelled to or hosted persons from China, including Hong Kong and Macau, in the lead up to or during the Lunar New Year holiday must stay at home from 28 January to 10 February based on governmental recommendations and understanding of the coronavirus’ incubation period.
  • Any student/faculty/staff member with a temperature of 37.5 or above and or displaying severe respiratory symptoms such as incessant coughing must stay at home or will be sent home.

We will be instituting strict hand-washing procedures and encouraging the wearing of face masks during break times at school. Should any parent/student or staff member display any symptoms they are encouraged to contact the Korean helpline on 1339.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation with this initiative. Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and we will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated as to any new developments.

Best Regards,

Mr. Kearney
