Term 1 Week 9

PE at HFS

This week some HFS students attended the Cross Country event at Daegu International School. Here is a note from Mr. Moss:

HFS took a small number of dedicated students to the annual SKAC Cross Country running event held at a beautiful lake near Daegu International School. There were many students competing from the various affiliated schools in the region. Our students had been training for a number of weeks, and had been attending Cross Country Club on Wednesdays.

In the girls Elementary School race Sophie Jeon (Y5/6) achieved her best time and finished the race. In the Middle School girls event Hayun Jeon battled illness to finish just outside the top ten. Our most successful race was in the Elementary boys section where Ariff Fauzan held off the challenge of several runners to finish 6th. Pride of place goes to Connor Blackman who ran a splendid race to finish in bronze medal position, and unfortunately was just pipped at the post to deny him silver.

Well done to all, and for the support of Sofie and Connors parents.

Certificates for recent sporting events (Futsal Tournament/Cross Country) will be given out at the next Parent Assembly which will be on Thursday of Week 12. 

Gifts for Teachers

This is a reminder that gifts of any kind, including homemade food, are not to be presented to teachers as they violate current Korean legislation. We are thankful for the support of our parents and we appreciated your cooperation and understanding in this matter.
